Common Tyre Questions
How often should I check my tyre pressure?
We recommend checking your tyre pressure at least once a month and before any long journey. Correct pressure improves fuel economy, handling and tyre life. Drop in any time — we'll check all four and your spare for free.
What's the minimum legal tread depth?
1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread width, all the way around the tyre. Below that and you risk a hefty fine and 3 penalty points per tyre. We recommend replacing at 3mm for optimal wet-weather braking.
Do you fit tyres I've bought elsewhere?
Yes — we'll fit any tyres you provide. However, we almost always come out ahead of online sellers once you factor in fitting, balancing, valves and disposal. Bring us the quote and we'll match or beat it.
Can you repair a puncture or do I need a new tyre?
Most punctures in the central tread area can be permanently repaired to BS AU 159 standard. Sidewall damage, run-flats that have been driven flat, or tyres below 2mm tread must be replaced. We'll inspect and give you an honest answer.
